- + = this indicates you did something well. Will usually be used in combination with another symbol.
- ** if there is not a + symbol with the letters below, it means there is a problem that needs to be addressed **
- A = awkward (a phrase or sentence is written in an odd way, making it difficult to understand)
- B = background (background information)
- D = use of document(s)
- E = explain
- F = facts
- G = geography
- Lg = logic (How does one idea or fact relate to another idea or fact?)
- Li = list (you're just writing a list of facts with no explanation)
- S = so what? (you need to explain to the reader why this information is relevant to your thesis)
- T = transition (moving smoothly and logically from one idea to the next)
- V = vague (the opposite of specific or clear)
- W = writing (as in mechanics or structure)
- X = explain
- Y = why?
